This is another image I snagged years ago before I realized I was going to publicly document them. (Reverse image search only pulls up a bunch of Pinterest posts. As always, if anyone knows anything about who to credit, please let me know.)
What I love about this image and its palette is that it hits that perfect sweet spot between summer and fall colors. This is a palette that shakes things up in late August / early September, just at the time when you’re starting to get sick of the mugginess and heat… when the air has a hint of chill and people are jumping into their sweaters and jeans—even if just to break the monotony. (Good grief, what would us Midwesterners do if we lived in a place WITHOUT SEASONS?!) The colors themselves could all be considered fall colors, yet their brightness keeps them firmly in late summer. Which really, is an awesome place to be!
